Short on time and long on the urge to become a certified diver? This certification might just be for you. The course requires less time than the Open Water Diver training, covering only the first three of five sections of knowledge development, the first three of five pool sessions, and the first two of four open water training dives, resulting in a limited certification. Particularly if you expect to go diving primarily in the company of a dive guide or if you have limited time to devote to your certification, consider becoming a Scuba Diver. During this course you’ll gain the skills and knowledge to become a certified scuba diver.
You’ll be certified to dive not only in Grenada, but worldwide under the supervision of a professional to a maximum depth of 12 meters. This guarantees you immediate access to the dive sites during your holidays, without loosing any time. Being then always on the side of a professional allows you to gain more experience.
This certification also enables you to continue to the PADI Open Water training in a very short time. During the training you’ll use all the basic scuba gear, a buoyancy compensating jacket that holds your scuba tank, a scuba regulator that delivers air, a weight system and instrumentation to monitor depth and air supply will also be used. Depending on the season you might also wear a shorty or full suit.
ScubaTech offers a variety of home-study materials. They provide a comprehensive overview of basic skills, terminology and safety procedures. For each concept you’ll read a description and watch a video demonstration. Then you’ll jump in the pool to practice these skills with your instructor. Once you’re certified, use the course materials as a reference guide for future diving adventures.
